SRP heating and cooling rebates, filed without a sales visit

We size the system with a Manual J through TrueQuote, install to code, and handle the contractor side of SRP rebate paperwork. We are not the utility. Dollar amounts change. We verify the live program before you buy.

SRP Eligibility, Today

The general shape of the program. Specific dollar amounts and SEER2 / HSPF2 thresholds move each program year - confirm current spec on the live SRP page before you commit.

Homeowner on an SRP residential account

The SRP residential rebate programs are for owner-occupied and qualifying rental homes on an active SRP service address. Confirm current spec on the program page - we will not quote a number that quietly went stale.

Existing home, not new construction

Most SRP cooling and heat pump rebates are written for retrofits in existing homes. New construction sometimes has its own path with different paperwork. We will tell you which program applies before we file.

Heat pump or qualifying AC replacement

Equipment on the current SRP qualified products list at the SEER2 / HSPF2 tier the program requires. The list changes - confirm current spec rather than trust a number from last year's brochure.

Install completed by a licensed contractor

SRP requires the install to be performed by a licensed HVAC contractor (ROC) and the paperwork signed off. Comfort Pros holds AZ ROC 364742 - that is the contractor side of the form.

Confirm current spec: the SEER2 / HSPF2 tier required for the rebate, the qualifying equipment list, and the dollar amount per tier. We do this for you before we quote.

The Paperwork Side, On Us

Homeowners get tripped up on rebate paperwork because the contractor portion, the AHRI certificate, and the customer form have to line up exactly. We file the contractor side; you file the customer side. Here is what we hand you.

  • AHRI certificate matched to the installed indoor and outdoor model numbers
  • Paid invoice from Comfort Pros with model and serial numbers
  • Permit and final inspection sign-off where the city requires one
  • Before / after photos if the program requires them
  • SRP account number on the rebate form so the check goes to the right place

Install vs Submission Window

  • 1

We submit the contractor portion within the program's required window after the install date

  • 2

You submit the customer portion (or we hand it off with the AHRI cert and invoice) within the same window

  • 3

Rebate processing time is set by SRP - we have no influence on it once the paperwork is in

  • 4

If SRP denies the claim because the home or model is ineligible, you still own the installed system at the quoted price

SRP Rebate + Federal 25C

The SRP rebate is paid by the utility. The federal 25C heat pump tax credit lives on your tax return. They are filed on different timelines through different channels, and they usually stack.

Where SRP Is the Power Company

SRP serves most of the East Valley plus parts of Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe. Where SRP stops, APS picks up - check the top of your bill.

Wrong utility?

If your bill says APS, the right page is APS HVAC rebates. LADWP and SCE rebates are on the California side - LADWP heat pump rebates or SCE heat pump rebates.

Disclaimer

Rebate amounts and equipment lists are set by Salt River Project (SRP). Comfort Pros does not guarantee a rebate. If the utility denies a claim because the home or model is ineligible, you still own the installed system at the quoted price.

SRP HVAC Rebate FAQs

Is Comfort Pros the utility?

No. We are the installing contractor. SRP runs the program, sets the dollar amounts, and decides what equipment is on the qualified list. We handle the contractor side of the paperwork - AHRI certificate, invoice, model/serial - and we verify the live program before you buy so you are not surprised after the install.

How much is the SRP rebate right now?

It depends on the equipment tier and the program you are filing under. We will tell you the current number when we quote the install. Do not trust last year's number - SRP revises equipment lists and dollar amounts each program year.

Do SRP rebates stack with the federal 25C heat pump tax credit?

Usually yes - the federal credit lives on your tax return and the utility rebate is paid by SRP. They are filed separately. See the full breakdown on the heat pump rebates and tax credits guide.

I am not sure if my home is SRP or APS. What do I do?

Look at the top of your electric bill. SRP and APS serve overlapping parts of Greater Phoenix, and a Phoenix address can be either one depending on the neighborhood. If you are on APS, the right page is the APS HVAC rebates page.

What if SRP denies the claim?

You still own the installed system at the quoted price. The rebate denial is between you and SRP - it does not change what you owe Comfort Pros. We file the contractor portion correctly; the customer-side determination is the utility's call.
